Dear Carlos,

It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of Raul Daniel Simo.
Raul was a cherished member of the ISSF family whose dedication, passion, and generosity left an enduring mark on our sport. Throughout many years of service, he contributed tirelessly as a Jury member at countless ISSF competitions and as a respected member of the ISSF Judges Committee from 2012 to 2016 and again from 2018 to 2020.
Raul will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. His extensive knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to our sport earned him the respect of colleagues worldwide. Equally memorable was his warm personality and remarkable sense of humour, which brought joy to those around him and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to share time with him.
With Raul’s passing, the international shooting sport community has lost not only an outstanding official, but also a dear friend and valued colleague who will be deeply missed.
Our heartfelt thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories he leaves behind and in the lasting legacy of his service to our sport.
